Alleyways read the signs

Went for a wander today and came accross this alley filled with different signs. They look like normal signs but when you read them you realize the whole alley is filled with fake signs. Maybe someone knows what this is about? Is it an exhbition? Someone's art project? or just a weird trick?

Okay new ideas for the look of the brand/website. Logo may probably be changing but still staying mostly the same. So please let me know what you think of them, which is better, or what to change etc... I need to know! Thanks

The Site

Have been working on the look and navigation of my site. This is one possible idea so I'd appreciate some comment or criticism please?
The burnt toasty looking piece at the top is place of a rough piece of cardboard with the navigation stencilled into it. The pink spray would show up when you roll over that word. The squares underneath would show crops of my designs that change the photo on the right when they are rolled over. When clicked they take you to more details and the option of buying that shirt. The navigation and look would stay pretty much the same across all pages.
The idea behind the look I choose will be an emphasis on stencilling and a hand-crafted feel but also looking well designed... and it needs to be easy enough for me to be able to make it work in Dreamweaver...

The brand is for a T-shirt brand where Stencil designs are handprinted onto the T-shirts. It is aimed at people in their 20s-30s who are visually minded, possibly designers or artists, and are interested in, or inspired by street culture, especially in Melbourne.
